SSD’s mission statement, developed through the communitywide strategic planning process, is to “Intentionally develop Haa Latseení (Our Strength of Mind, Body, and Spirit) to inspire and prepare students to be compassionate, empowered, and equipped critical thinkers within a global community.”

The Haa Latseení Students of the Month program celebrates students who have demonstrated strength of mind, body, and spirit and contributed positively to their school communities. Honorees are publicly recognized at the monthly school board meeting.
