Welcome to Sitka's 21st Century Community Learning Centers
The Sitka School District has received a grant from the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development. The primary focus of the grant is to provide extra academic support and enrichment activities to students who may struggle with school and for those who qualify for free or reduced rate on a school lunch.
Program sites are located at Baranof Elementary, Keet Gooshi Heen School, Blatchley Middle School, and Pacific High. Snacks are provided to each of the students attending and transportation home is provided from BES, KGH, and BMS. Each program site is uniquely designed to address the needs of students. Programs focus on increasing academic success in school through enrichment activities, homework help, pro-social skill development, and building positive relationships with others.
